Danielle Cowman
Using oil paint and carefully placed brush strokes, my work plays with shades created by a limited colour palette to pare back outside noise and simplify the scene so that the expression on the subject’s face can be more closely observed; be this calm curiosity, contemplation or pure nosiness! Faces are an important source of information about others and an ability to interpret expressions is fundamental to understanding – in developing understanding, we can connect more effectively with the world

Richard Taylorson

Her artwork, inspired by her love of walking and her extensive research and photography of the Lakeland Fells since 2011, beautifully captures the dynamic landscapes through vibrant colors and textured surfaces, inviting viewers to explore the intricate details of hills and valleys and experience the essence of nature she passionately depicts
